Originally created for the Women’s Work exhibition this piece was recently recreated for the Momentum: PCP 21st Anniversary exhibition. The 1995 exhibition was a survey of WA photographers for International Women’s Day. The artist was living in the country and mailed down a clump of spinifex and a roll of unprocessed film. The curator was asked to find a chair for the spinfex. She received the processed film and contact sheet and was invited to circle one of the photographs of the artist at work checking raingauges and an automated sediment sampling station in the field.
