The Tenements (Frearson’s 1895) banner was created as part of the Terrane Project, an Art on the Move residency at the Museum of the Goldfields in Kalgoorlie-Boulder/Karlkurla. The project brought together the archive, the woodlines, and the underlying mineral realm.

A shaft of sunlight entering the gallery highlights the pinkish surface that has been stained with fine dust from the local area. The original map (dating from around 1895) is a plan of the various leases covering the Golden Mile complied by the Frearson Brothers.
