The R Series was a two-month journey to revisit over 40 landscape views in Britain and Ireland that had been captured in postcards. Sometimes the locations were easy to find, others had disappeared into the sea.

Some were wetter, colder or windier than their images; others were closed for the winter, and some only visible in the distance. Flowerbeds and gardens had been remodelled over the years, and tourists had overrun some locations, but others were sharper than their recordings.
