Lenticular 3d printing technology allows four different states to be captured on the right hand sides of these artworks. Combined with digital prints on the left these works were part of the fieldwork/fieldwalking PhD project that investigated the overlapping space of art and scientific practices in the field. An ornithologist’s notebook, the traces of abandoned campfires and the feet of naturalists shimmer across our viewshed as points in place and time. In the Blacksoil image we see the same muddy pond appear and reappear over a wet-dry season cycle.
